Program Overview

Kindergarten provides an educational program for children in the year prior to school entry in which qualified early childhood teachers and educators work to engage each child in effective learning, promoting communication, thinking, positive relationships, identity and wellbeing. Our curriculum is guided by the Victorian Early Years Learning and/or the National Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Framework.

Kindergarten is offered for 15 hours per week.

Your child will attend for three days, with one half day and two longer days.

Parents can choose from two sessional kindergarten groups and nominate their preferred group when enrolling.

The sessional program follows school term dates and closes over school holidays.

Small group sizes of 18 children with 1 Bachelor-qualified kindergarten teacher and 1 Diploma-qualified educator.

Kindergarten is:

  • A place where children further develop their social skills and gain a sense of belonging to a broader, diverse community.
  • A place that encourages independent thinking.
  • A place where children are involved in meaningful learning experiences that encourage active enquiry and investigation.
